I live in Wisconsin and I’m in 21st grade at UW-Madison. My official academic website, including my CV and a very partial bibliography, can be found here. I have a MA in Library Science and half of an MA in Thai literature. I hope that explains everything you might need to know about my brain and how I’m feeling at the moment.
In my spare time I draw a comic, “Em ơi!”, which is archived on this blog. I also run (distances of up to 50 kilometers), bike, lift weights, and swim. Although I’ve occasionally done both duathlons and triathlons in the past, I’m not doing any tris this season. I have recently signed up for my first big bike event–the Dairyland Dare, where I am planning to do the 150k (or the 200k if training goes really well).
My other hobbies include baking, photography, and hanging out at my house with my husband (B), dog (Maya), and cat (Kali). That concludes the list of things that are likely to be mentioned on this blog.
I have been blogging infrequently since 2002-ish on a variety of different servers (now mostly deleted, thankfully) and have thus far failed to monetize the blog into a career whereby I could simply blog all day and not ever have to wear trousers or leave the house if I don’t feel like it. Too bad. If you are reading this and want to give me a ton of money to do such things, or wish to act as patron to my current novel, please feel free to email me at ehlupton(at)gmail(dot)com. I also accept free running gear, books, and food samples.
